Forward Funds has hired a new executive to oversee its technology systems.
Darrell Davis joins the San Francisco-based firm as chief technology officer and managing director.
Davis held similar responsibilities at
Morgan Stanley Online where he was chief technology officer and executive vice president at the Internet brokerage.
Hiring Davis is part of an effort by Forward to expand its technology and Internet capabilities, said
Alan Reid, president of the firm and also a Morgan Stanley veteran.
Reid commented from the
Schwab Impact 2001 conference in San Francisco. Like most of the other fund firms intending to exhibit at the conference, Reid decided to keep to the firm's intent to attend.
All of the firm's employees, including subadvisor
Elaine Garzarelli who has offices in midtown Manhattan, were unhurt by last months attack, confirmed Reid.
