Speculation about who will replace Paul Roye at the SEC is already starting. The head of the SEC's Investment Management Division said last week that he will step down in the near future to go into the private sector.
Top of the list of Roye's potential replacement are four attorney's, according to Dow Jones'
MarketWatch new service. They are Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel partner Jay Baris; Dechert partner Jack Murphy; Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr partner Martin Lybecker; and Henry Hopkins, chief counsel for T. Rowe Price.
Baris told the news service that being mentioned as a possible replacement for Roye is "very flattering." Murphy declined to comment.
