Last Thursday (September 5), Informa's WealthManagement.com revealed the winners of the 2024 WealthManagement.com Industry Awards. Winners of these tenth annual "Wealthies" were unveiled and honored at a black-tie awards gala at the Ziegfield Ballroom in midtown Manhattan. 84 companies won a total of 92 awards this time.

In the "asset managers" categories, Dina DiLorenzo, president of Guggenheim Investments, won "CEO of the year." Suzanne Lieb, head of North America marketing for Ameriprise's Columbia Threadneedle, won "CMO of the year."

Winning fund firms included:
  • BondBloxx, in the "ETFs" category, for the BondBloxx ETFs;
  • Calamos Investments, in the "alternative investments" category, for its liquid alternatives expansion;
  • Cohen & Steers, in the "real estate category," for its Real Assets Compass tool;
  • Franklin Templeton, in the "thought leadership" category," for its Alternative Allocations Podcast;
  • FS Investments, "digital marketing campaign of the year," for its "Cash on the Sidelines" campaign;
  • Janus Henderson, in the "client experience initiative" category, for its onboarding and compliance reviews; and
  • Morgan Stanley's Parametric, in the "direct indexing" category, for its fixed income direct indexing.

  • David Armstrong, director of editorial strategy and operations for Informa Connect's wealth management group, tells WealthManagement.com that more than 400 companies submitted a combined total of more than 1,000 entries for the 2024 Wealthies, "a record-breaking number of nominations." Armstrong led the panel of independent judges that determined the winners.

    Armstrong enunciates the awards program's mission: "to recognize and celebrate the oustanding initiatives undertaken by companies and individuals that contribute to the success of financial advisors in their businesses and foster improved outcomes for their clients."

    "This year's winners hail from various types of firms, yet they all share a common trait — they are the architects behind the programs, tools and platforms that empower financial advisors to grow their businesses, enhance client service, and elevate the financial prospects and quality of life for millions of investors," Armstrong tells WealthManagement.com.

    Several retirement plan providers also won Wealthies last week. Our sister publication 401kWire has more details
