Gagliano spent more than 14 years at Broadridge, most recently serving as senior vice president and general manager of regulatory and marketing communication solutions. A Broadridge spokesperson declined to comment.
At TIFIN, Nair lauds Gagliano and Shaffer as "two industry leaders with a deep background in driving the adoption of innovative distribution solutions in asset management."
"I am excited to work with both leaders as we build on AMP's foundation to revolutionize how asset management firms make distribution decisions through AI," Nair states.
Gagliano, for his part, lauds TIFIN AMP's "unique data, innovative AI capabilities and strong talent."
"I am thrilled to join the TIFIN AMP team as we strive to modernize distribution for the Asset Management industry," Gagliano states.
News of the hiring of Shaffer and Gagliano comes eight months after the TIFIN team first
unveiled the
launch of TIFIN AMP, which they pitched as "the asset management industry's first SaaS-based AI platform for modern distribution." Then the TIFIN AMP team
raised a series A funding round,
unveiled two months ago, and spun off from TIFIN with an independent board. (
Motive Partners, which
co-led TIFIN's own $109-million
series D funding round last year, led TIFIN AMP's series A.)
Before joining Russell in 2021, Shaffer led distribution for Voya IM. Earlier, he held leadership roles with Credit Suisse AM, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley. He is an alumnus of Duke University's School of Law and of Princeton University.
Gagliano spent more than 14 years with Broadridge, serving in a variety of leadership roles before becoming SVP and GM of regulatory and marketing communication solutions in 2017. Earlier, he worked in investment banking with Thomas Weisel Partners, CIBC World Markets, and PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities, and he also worked at a private equity firm. He is an alumnus of Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business and of Brown University.
