On Thursday, the team at the Investment Management Education Alliance (
IMEA)
hosted their 2022
IMEA Star Awards celebration as part of the
IMEA All-Council Fall Summit. The awards show, IMEA's first in-person one in more than two years (in light of the pandemic), was held at
Macquarie's offices in New York City. As
previously reported, IMEA slimmed down the Star Awards category list to 14 (compared with 25
last year). (Our sister publication,
401kWire, covered the winner retirement plan providers.)
"This year, we evolved the STAR Awards to focus more on broader integrated strategies to further its legacy of honoring best-in-class efforts," states
Kimber Lintz, director of the IMEA.
Invesco leads the pack this year with eight Star awards. Other big
winners this time include: Ameriprise's
Columbia Threadneedle Investments,
Hennessy Funds,
Matthews Asia, and
Schwab Asset Management, with four awards each.
FS Investments,
MissionSquare Retirement,
Principal Financial Group,
T. Rowe Price,
U.S. Global Investors, and
William Blair won two awards each this year.
The other winners this time included:
Franklin Templeton,
Hamilton Lane,
Natixis' Loomis Sayles,
Northern Trust's FlexShares, and TIAA's
Nuveen.
