Last week,
Anwiti Bahuguna, head of multi-asset strategy at Ameriprise's
Columbia Threadneedle Investments [
profile],
trumpeted the recent
20-year anniversary of the
Columbia Thermostat Fund. The asset allocation fund's 20th birthday was September 25.
The fund comes in several share classes, including A shares, Advisor shares, C shares, Institutional shares, Institutional2 shares, and Institutional3 shares. As of September 30, it held $1.431 billion in AUM. Bahuguna and
Alex Rivas serve as the fund's PMs, and Columbia Wanger Asset Management, LLC serves as its investment advisor.
"What I love most about the fund is that it reflects the pure essence of investing, to buy low and sell high," Bahuguna states. "We've found that many invesetors are tempted to buy as markets get hot and sell as things cool down, which we all know can lead to poor investment outcomes. This fund is designed to take the emotion out of investing by helping investors navigate the market with the goal of long-term total returns."
