The team at a $476-billion-AUM (as of June 30) asset manager is preparing to welcome a distribution leader who has worked with both mutual fund firms and B-Ds.
On Thursday,
Joe Sullivan, chair and CEO of
Allspring Global Investments [
profile],
confirms the
appointment of
John Moninger as head of U.S. distribution at Charlotte, North Carolina-based Allspring. Moninger will remain based in the Boston area.
Moninger has a spent a decade with
Eaton Vance (part of
Morgan Stanley [
profile]), serving as managing director of intermediary sales. An Eaton Vance spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
At Allspring, Sullivan lauds Moninger for bringing "a strong blend of highly relevant industry experience that will be instrumental as we continue to build and grow Allspring as an independent company in partnership with our clients."

Moninger
joined Eaton Vance back in 2012, and he stayed on after the
sale to Morgan Stanley last year. Earlier, he led advisory and brokerage consulting at LPL and served as national consulting director, investment solutions at UBS. He also worked at Alliance Capital. He is an alumns of Kutztown University.
