The team at a $49-billion-AUM, 39-year-old mutual fund firm (as of July 31) recently celebrated a ruby red anniversary for one of their funds.
Yesterday,
Jason Brady, president and CEO of
Thornburg Investment Management [
profile],
trumpeted that the
Thornburg Global Opportunities Fund has
celebrated its 15-year anniversary. The fund now has $1.1 billion in AUM.
The
fund is
co-PMed by
Brian McMahon, Thornburg's chief investment strategist, and by
Miguel Oleaga, a portfolio manager. McMahon has been one of the fund's two co-PMs ever since it debuted on July 28, 2006.
Brady describes the anniversary as "a significant milestone for Thornburg" and calls the fund's performance "a testament to [Thornburg's] long-term investment philosophy."
"The fund has proven time and again that the flexibility to look anywhere in the world for value can provide long-term positive returns to our shareholders," Brady states.
