In 2019, the Expect Miracles Foundation was able to provide $1.2 million to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, $250,000 to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and $188,000 to young adult cancer survivors. In total, the foundation donated $1.8 million.

Expect Miracles is a foundation that works with the financial services industry to help invest in cancer research while advancing the financial and emotional health of those impacted by cancer. On July 1, 2019, Expect Miracles acquired The Samfund for Young Adult Cancer Survivors.

Frank Heavey, executive director of Expect Miracles, tells MFWire that forecasted fundraising numbers for 2019 are a record $3 million. He adds:
This year we reached the milestone of donating our ten millionth dollar. In 2020, we hope to continue to grow our impact as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Expect Miracles Foundation and the financial services industry's fight against cancer. Toward the end of 2020, we plan to launch a new fund for young adult cancer patients to support this vulnerable demographic during treatment, before they find themselves facing a financial crisis. Joining forces with the Samfund and leveraging over 16 years of data and insight will allow all of us to finally get ahead of the problem.

Last year, the foundation was able to donate a record $1.3 million, meaning this year's total donation hit a new record. The Expect Miracles team partially attributes their success for this year to the growth of their Miracle Maker Leadership Council. They note that five years ago there were 52 Miracle Makers and now there are 185.

The foundation also provided various awards this year, including the YPEM Award to Luci Strauss, and the Foundation Award to BNY Mellon & Eagle Investment Systems Confluence. They held six events this year, with the next one coming up in February in Manhattan.
