The best piece of advice that
Michelle Seitz ever received was, "Protect your time because no one else will."
| Michelle Renae Seitz Russell Investments CEO | |
The
Russell Investments [
profile] CEO shared that tidbit and more in a pre-Thanksgiving
interview with the Puget Sound Business Journal. (The interview follows
reports earlier this month that the private equity owners of the Seattle-based, $292.-7-billion-AUM, 1,,350-employee, multi-manager asset manager are looking at putting it on the block.)
The interview offers a host of other tidbits, both personal (Seitz's theme song is "Mr. Blue Sky," and she enjoys early morning coffee on her deck "with the bats) and professional.
"If you focus on the problem you want to solve, the impact you want to make and how you want to make people feel, then your voice flows with magnified strength," Seitz tells the paper. "It's also likely why I rarely noticed that I was often the only woman in the room."
