Transamerica Investment Management has created a new position to oversee its business practices. The investment manager hired
Lisa Kessler as its first corporate vice president of business practices. Kessler had been at
Battelle & Battelle Accounting and Business Advisors in Dayton, Ohio where she was director of Human Resource/Organizational Development Practices.
In her new job Kessler will oversee the Corporate Business Practices area that has oversight of financial accounting and reporting, human resources and corporate compliance functions.
John C. Riazzi, chief executive officer of Transamerica Investment Management, said that the position was created because of growth in the firm's business.
"TIM's assets under management have grown twofold in the last couple years and this new appointment is a direct reflection of that accelerated growth," said Riazzi.
While at Battalle & Battalle, Kessler was also a strategic partner for advising private and public entities experiencing organizational change, particularly companies growing quickly and those merging and/or acquiring others.
