The
Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) has tapped two fund executives as vice presidents for its executive committee. The executive committee members provide strategic advice and direction to the MFEA and keep it in touch with its members.
Joining the committee are
Merrillyn Kosier, executive vice president and director of Mutual Fund Marketing and Investor Services at Ariel Mutual Funds, and
Kevin Rowell, president of Safeco Mutual Funds.
Existing committee members include
Ken Anderson, chairman-president & chief operating officer of ABN AMRO Funds & ABN AMRO Investment Funds Service;
Peter Kris, vice chairman-managing director at Van Wagoner Capital Management and advisor to the Van Wagoner Funds; and,
Bill Thomas, treasurer-senior vice president for Mutual Fund Relations, Asset Management, Strategic Alliances, Charles Schwab & Company.
In the coming year, the group plans to expand member services and continue growth of the organization that serves as the industry trade association for mutual fund marketers and distributors.
The next MFEA meeting is at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on March 10-11.
