Jeffrey Gundlach is weighing in on the next U.S. presidential election.

Last week, the DoubleLine Capital [profile] chief told Fox Business that President Donald Trump might drop out of the 2020 race.

"I am not even sure he's going to really run," Gundlach reportedly said. "If the economy goes into recession and he can't pullout by removing the tariffs, there's very little for him to run on."

"Lyndon Johnson ran for a while too and then pulled out because of the war problems," Gundlach added.

Back in 2016, Gundlach was an early predictor of Trump's victory that year.
