Week In Preview, May 6-12

The Investments and Wealth Institute's (IWI's) 2019 Annual Conference Experience (ACE) continues today at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The four-day event started yesterday.

Today the teams at the Sohn Conference Foundation and CNBC will host the 24th annual Sohn Investment Conference, again at Lincoln Center in New York City. Most of the speakers are prominent hedge fundsters, but DoubleLine CEO Jeffrey Gundlach will return to speak late this afternoon.

Tomorrow afternoon, Gundlach and his team will host a DoubleLine media and client event at the Rainbow Room in New York City. Gundlach himself, president Ron Redell, deputy chief investment officer Jeffrey Sherman, and several other DoubleLine PMs will speak at the event.

Also tomorrow afternoon, after the market closes, the Voya Financial team will release their Q1 2019 earnings. Management will host an earnings call on Wednesday morning, after the market opens.

On Wednesday, the Morningstar team will kick off their 2019 Morningstar Investment Conference (MIC). The three-day event will again be held at McCormick Place in M*'s hometown, Chicago. Speakers scheduled to appear include: Cliff Asness managing principal of AQR; Sonal Desai, executive vice president and CIO of Franklin Templeton's fixed income group; David Giroux, PM in T. Rowe Price's U.S. equity division; Doris Kearns Goodwin, historian; Morgan Housel, partner at the Collaborative Fund; Jean Hynes, senior managing director and global industry analyst at Wellington Management; Kunal Kapoor, CEO of M*; Daniel Needham, president and CIO of M*'s investment management group; Manny Roman, CEO of Pimco; and Boyd Varty, life coach.

On Thursday, the Irish Funds team will host their 2019 Annual General Meeting at the Spencer Hotel in Dublin.

On Friday, Impact Shares CEO Ethan Powell will be honored at the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester's annual benefit luncheon. Powell will receive the Ally for Women award.

Also on Friday, the U.S. Global Investors team will release their fiscal Q3 2019 earnings.
