Pimco [

confirms Brett Wright, co-head of the client group at Macquarie IM. Together with the
Anaheim Ducks Foundation, the Macquarie Group Foundation and Pimco Veterans raised more than $100,000 for three charities — the Orange County Community Foundation's Veterans Initiative, the Travis Manion Foundation, and the United Heroes League — that support veterans in the U.S. and Canada.
"I can't think of a better way to show our deep gratitude to this country and our great neighbor to the North than by supporting those who have served their countries so nobly," Wright states.
Nine Macquarie employees and 13 Pimco employees played in the game (which included five NHL alumni:
Bryan Allen,
Adam Hall,
Kent Huskins,
James Marshall, and
Sean Pronger, and "talks have already begun for a rematch!" a spokeswoman for Macquarie tells
MFWire.
"The final score was 6-5 in a shootout!" the spokeswoman says. "PIMCO tied the game in the last minute of play. And then won in a shootout!"
