Last night at the
freshly rebranded Investment Management Education Alliance's (
IMEA's) 22nd annual
STAR Awards celebration, Aberdeen Standard won eight awards, more than any other firm and up from five
last year. Its wins included IMEA's 2018
Community Investment Award, in part thanks to the charitable efforts of 400 Aberdeen Standard employees on the company's global volunteer day earlier this year.

Hennessy and Janus Henderson won six STAR awards each, and Saturna and T. Rowe each won five.
The STAR Awards were presented in a celebration at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Chicago.
A host of other fund firms won last night.
Franklin Templeton won four awards.
J.P. Morgan,
Matthews Asia,
MFS,
OppenheimerFunds,
U.S. Global Investors, and
William Blair won three awards each. And
Carillon Tower Advisers,
Federated,
Hartford,
John Hancock,
Legg Mason,
Nationwide, and
Nuveen each won two awards.
