U.S. asset management arm. Mellon is built out of the combination of the Boston Company
(an active equity shop), Standish Mellon
(an active fixed income shop), and Mellon Capital
(an index, multi-asset, and multi-factor shop).

Mellon had $549.8 billion in AUM as of June 30, it has more than 500 employees, and its headquarters is in Boston (though BNY Mellon is based in New York City). The new name will take effect on January 2.
