There is a trio of new portfolio managers at Fidelity Investments. William Kennedy
, Dale Nicholls
and Matthew Friedman
all took over funds on September 1, according to the fund firm.
Two of the three -- Kennedy and Nicholls -- took over funds that had been managed by June-Yon Kim
. The Tokyo-based Kim left the company. Kennedy, group leader of Fidelity's Global Research Group since 2002, takes over from Kim as portfolio manager of the $320 million Fidelity Pacific Basin Fund
. Nicholls is the new portfolio manager for Fidelity Advisor Japan Fund
Meanwhile, Friedman takes over as portfolio manager of the $158.5 million Fidelity Select Multimedia Portfolio, succeeding Brian Kennedy who took a new assignment as an equity research analyst within Fidelity.
