A mutual fund giant's new East Coast HQ is expected to be completed late this year. Yet fundsters don't have to wait that long to catch a glimpse.
Construction on Dimensional Fund Advisors' (
DFA's [
profile]) new Charlotte, North Carolina building is on pace to be completed by December 2018, the
Charlotte Agenda reports. The local publication also offers a current picture of the construction, as well as five design pictures of what the project is meant to look like once completed and plenty of commentary on the designs. (The pub smiles more favorably on these new designs than on the original designs from
fall 2015.)
Duda Paine is the architect on the project, and Cousins Properties is the developer. The
Agenda reports that DFA's new building will have 265,000 square feet of office space, plus more than 15,000 square feet of retail space (for shops, restaurants and the like). Initial reports in 2015
pegged the project's size at 200,000 square feet.
