Widger Promotes and Hires Three Brinker Platform Execs

Reported by Katy Golvala

Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based TAMP, Brinker Capital, is expanding its investment team with a duo of promotions and one outside hire.

Jeff Raupp
Brinker Capital
Director of Investments
Jeff Raupp will lead the investment team as director of investments and chair of the investment group executive committee; Amy Magnotta will serve as senior vice president, head of discretionary portfolios and chair of the asset allocation committee; and Tim Holland will serve as senior vice president, head of discretionary portfolios and vice chair of the asset allocation committee.

According to a spokesperson for Brinker, Holland's role is newly-created. Raupp and Magnotta's promotions are expansions of their previous roles, and they are not directly replacing anyone.

"For 30 years, Brinker Capital has focused on continued improvement to better serve advisors and investors, and I'm certain this leadership team will continue to develop its operations and strive to enhance investment performance in the future," states Chuck Widger, founder and executive chairman at Brinker Capital.

As chief of the investment team, Raupp will oversee Brinker's overall investment policy. Magnotta is responsible for all fully discretionary multi-asset class portfolios, and for developing the firm's policy on asset allocation structure. Holland will be responsible for developing Brinker's macroeconomic and capital market outlook and messaging for the firm's investment views.

Holland and Magnotta will both report directly to Raupp, and Raupp will report directly to Widger.

Raupp has been with Brinker for over 21 years, most recently serving as senior vice president responsible for the portfolio management of Brinker’s mutual fund program, Destinations. He will maintain those responsibilities as part of his expanded role. Before that, Raupp spent eight years in the U.S. Army.

Magnotta has been with Brinker for 11 years, most recently serving as a senior investment manager responsible for Destinations and a member of the asset allocation committee. Prior to that, she has held positions at Franklin Park Associates, BlackRock, and SEI.

Holland joins Brinker from London-based Pictet Asset Management, where he served as co-head of the US subadvisory business since August of last year. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at TAMRO Capital Partners, where he worked as a portfolio manager and partner. He's also held roles at Manley Asset Management and Towers Group.

Raupp holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Villanova University; Magnotta graduated from Lehigh University with an undergraduate degree in finance; and Holland holds a bachelor's degree from Drew University.
