Nominations are now open for the
MFEA's 2016
STAR Awards. And this time, nominees will receive feedback. Meanwhile, the awards show itself will be moving east.

Kimber Lintz, director of the Mutual Fund Education Alliance, confirms that this year the trade group is "launching something called the evaluation scorecard. Companies who submit entries will receive a scorecard for each entry, showing average scores in different areas along with their actual scores and specific comments from the judges.
"In the past folks have asked us for judges' comments," Lintz tells
MFWire. She describes the scorecard as a way for STAR contenders to improve their marketing and educational materials thanks to feedback.
The awards themselves and the categories "remain the same" this year, Lintz adds. In the past, the winners have been revealed and celebrated at MFEA's annual STAR Awards dinner. The awards event has been held in Chicago, but this year it will move to New York City. Lintz confirms that the 2016 awards announcements will be on November 2.
