A key mutual fund ally is saying goodbye to
Pershing and returning to
Merrill Lynch.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch spokeswoman Susan McCabe confirms that
Sandy Bolton is rejoining the wirehouse. McCabe declined to comment further on Bolton's move.
Bolton most recently served as managing director of investment solutions and Albridge Analytics at BNY Mellon's Pershing unit that supports broker-dealers and RIAs. A spokeswoman for Pershing declined to comment on how Bolton's duties are being handled.
MFWire has learned that Bolton will be taking on a similar title, head of investment solutions. The newly-created position reports to
Lorna Sabbia, head of managed solutions at Merrill. Bolton will be responsible for a variety of investment solutions, including mutual funds (both in the U.S. and overseas), ETFs, and more.
An alumnus of the College of New Jersey and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Bolton (nee Motusesky) is no stranger to Mother Merrill. She began her career in 1990 with seven years at the wirehouse, serving as mutual fund trader, assistant vice president and mutual funds marketing manager, and then vice president and technology marketing manager.
She moved on to Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and then TD Ameritrade before
joining Pershing almost five years ago as director of investment solutions. She
rose to managing director last year.
