kasina is getting into the product development consulting business.
kasina CEO
Steven Miyao confirms that, effective January 1,
Larry Petrone will become the New York City-based consulting firm's first ever head of product research and consulting. Petrone had served as head of research, and
Jeff Strange will take over that post.
"We've been getting a lot of inquiries from our clients to help them with their product development and product strategies," Miyao tells
MFWire. "About three years ago I started hiring a lot of folks who have deep product knowledge."
Petrone is also the head author of kasina's
Product Strategy Compass, a quarterly report for client asset managers. Two people are dedicated to Petrone's new team, Miyao says, with other kasina consultants also working some on the effort.
Miyao praises Petrone as having "a lot of deep product experience" and notes that Petrone has worked as a PM and as an analyst. As for Strange, who joined kasina about a year ago, Miyao says the new head of research "has on the ground experience" and management experience that will be invaluable.
