Who will lead
McKinsey's consulting work with asset managers?
Andrew Komaroff, chief operating officer at global head of distribution at
Neuberger Berman [
profile],
confirms that
Celine Dufetel is joining the New York City-based mutual fund shop as head of client service. A former French Navy officer, Dufetel most recently served as a partner and as North American asset management practice leader for McKinsey & Company.
A spokeswoman for McKinsey confirmed Dufetel's departure but declined to comment on who will take Dufetel's place.
At Neuberger, Dufetel succeeds
Lori Holland, who switched over to Neuberger's multi-asset class (MAC) team. Komaroff confirms that Dufetel will be partnering up with his channel heads: the heads of the direct high net worth, institutional, and intermediary (i.a.d retail advisor) channel.
"We have a very large and expanding client coverage team," Komaroff tells
MFWire.
Komaroff adds that he was "very attracted to Celine's background," pointing to Dufetel's role at McKinsey and her work across different asset management industry segments.
