Jeff Nipp, formerly managing director in
BlackRock's multi-asset portfolio strategies group, has joined
Invesco as Managing Director and Head of Invesco Solutions.
Invesco Solutions is a newly created group at the $779 billion money manager that's combining the firm's multi-asset capabilities, including its
Global Asset Allocation team in Atlanta, the multi-asset team in the U.K. and the
Quantitative Strategies group in Frankfurt, Boston and New York. Nipp joined on May 1 to lead this effort, an Invesco spokesman said.
"Jeff is a seasoned and respected investment professional with more than 20 years’ experience and deep expertise in working with investment managers across multiple asset classes and locations to meet client needs," the spokesman added, in an e-mail.
At BlackRock, which he joined in the fall of 2008, Nipp oversaw the firm's manager of managers business.
Prior to BlackRock, he was the global director of manager research at
Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting (what is now
Towers Watson). Nipp used to be based in Atlanta with Watson Wyatt and has returned there to work for Invesco.
