The Denver-based alts shop 361 Capital, which is helmed by chief executive Tom Florence, has hired a vice president for national accounts and institutional sales.

Ten-year Rydex veteran Garrett Brookes was named to the role. Before joining Florence's firm, Brookes had served as a regional vice president for four years and before that had served as an internal investment consultant/team lead and as a fund accountant.

Florence last year outlined to MFWire 361's singular approach to selling liquid alts.
