Not every Bogle is an indexer.

Liam Pleven in the Wall Street Journal profiles Jack Bogle and his son, John Bogle, Jr. The younger Bogle, despite his father's advocacy of the benefits of indexing, is actually an active mutual fund and hedge manager. And the elder Bogle even invests with his actively inclined son's shop, Bogle Investment Management [profile].

"He's done what he's done very well," Bogle Sr. told the WSJ. "Will it work forever? I don't know. But I'm not going to bet against him."
