Claims against former senior vice president of
Smith Barney,
Lewis Daidone and
Citigroup have been resolved in a $4.9 million settlement,
Reuters Nate Raymond reports. The eight year-old case continued after Smith Barney was accused of allegedly receiving kickbacks for providing back-office services to mutual funds, Raymond writes.
The claims against Citigroup, Citigroup Asset Management Chief Executive Thomas Jones and Smith Barney were tossed last August by U.S. District Judge Wlliam Pauley, Raymond writes, but the claims against Daidone continued.
