A Tennessee Shop Unveils Two Equity Strats

All hail the great rotation to equities.

Franklin, Tennessee-based Satuit Funds [profile] has launched two new mutual fund strategies focused on U.S. equities. They are the Satuit Capital U.S. Small Cap Fund (SATSX) and the Satuit Capital U.S. SMID Cap Fund(SATDX).

SATSX will invest at least 80 percent of its assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. common stocks of small cap companies exhibiting strong fundamentals and selling at reasonable valuations. The fund's advisor will consider a company to be a small cap company when its market capitalization, at the time of purchase, is within the range of market capitalizations of those companies comprising the Russell 2000 Index (R2000). 

Meanwhile, SATDX will invest at least 80 percent of its assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. common stocks of SMID cap companies exhibiting strong fundamentals as well as selling at reasonable valuations.  The Adviser considers a company to be a SMID cap company when its market capitalization, at the time of purchase, is within the range of market capitalizations of those companies comprising the Russell 2500 Index (R2500).

Satuit CIO Robert Sullivan and director of equity research Edward Moore will serve as co-PMs.

The investment team also includes Robert Johnson, Kevin Mirise, Robin Murchison, Jason Novak and Jeffrey MacCune.

FRANKLIN, Tenn., June 27, 2013 -- On April 1, 2013 Satuit Funds Management, LLC, announced the launch two U.S domestic focused equity mutual fund strategies: Satuit Capital U.S. Small Cap Fund (SATSX) and Satuit Capital U.S. SMID Cap Fund(SATDX).

SATSX seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. common stocks of small cap companies exhibiting strong fundamentals and selling at reasonable valuations. The Adviser considers a company to be a small cap company when its market capitalization, at the time of purchase, is within the range of market capitalizations of those companies comprising the Russell 2000 Index (R2000). 

SATDX seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. common stocks of SMID cap companies exhibiting strong fundamentals as well as selling at reasonable valuations.  The Adviser considers a company to be a SMID cap company when its market capitalization, at the time of purchase, is within the range of market capitalizations of those companies comprising the Russell 2500 Index (R2500).

Robert Sullivan CIO and Edward Moore, CFA Director of Equity Research will serve as Co-Portfolio Managers of both strategies. The investment team also includes Mr.Robert Johnson, Mr. Kevin Mirise, CFA, Ms. Robin Murchison, Mr. Jason Novak and Mr. Jeffrey MacCune.
