Bob Reynolds and his team want to show you some "New Ways of Thinking." That,
Frank Quaratiello of the
Boston Herald reports, is the
name of the new marketing campaign coming out of
Putnam [
profile].
The
Boston Globe also
covered the campaign.
"It's much bigger than an ad campaign," Reynolds told the
Herald. "There will be a
lot of social media. We'll be generating white papers. We'll have new products that focus
on managing risk as well as assets and also finding new drivers for returns. We'll be
providing content for advisers and investors and helping them have success in today's
volatile, global market."
The paper also notes that the campaign comes in advance of the spring launch six more
Putnam mutual funds, along with other new investment options.
Reynolds also took the opportunity to quash discussion of Putnam getting into the ETF
business.
"There's nothing on the drawing board in that area," Reynolds told the paper.
Morningstar analyst
Rob Wherry also weighed in Reynolds' moves.
