Northern Lights Focuses on High Touch Sales Consulting

In order to help their mutual fund clients navigate the increasing challenges of breaking through to financial advisors, home offices and other customers, Northern Lights Distributors has appointed two staffers the responsibility of shepherding clients through the sales process.
In particular, the distributor has promoted Jon Poyer and Michael Lambatsos to the newly-created positions of sales and distribution manager.
Poyer says that he and his colleague also try to work Northern Lights' existing sales relationships with broker dealers and platforms to help clients deal with what he calls the major challenge impacting most fund launchers: limited sales resources.
"We spend an awful lot of time driving these relationships for clients," he says.

OMAHA, NEB. – November 27, 2012 – Northern Lights Distributors, LLC (“NLD”), a broker-dealer specializing in providing comprehensive, advisor-driven solutions for fund distribution and fund compliance services, is pleased to announce its expanded services and regionalized leadership structure. NLD has successfully performed these tasks for its sister company, Gemini Fund Services, LLC (“Gemini”), which administers multiple shared mutual fund trusts, along with many standalone mutual funds, hedge funds and variable annuities. Their largest shared trust, the Northern Lights Fund Trust, has more than 90 funds and over $7.57 billion in assets. Assets in the trust doubled in 2010, nearly doubled again in 2011 and is still experiencing growth in 2012. Gemini launched a second shared trust in June 2011, the Northern Lights Fund Trust II, and launched the Northern Lights Fund Trust III in early 2012.

As part of NLD’s regional expansion, which now services over 100 advisors, Mr. Poyer and Michael Lambatsos have joined NLD as Sales & Distribution Managers. The expanded team will assist regional clients in developing strategies to help raise assets, as well as define and implement customized marketing and distribution plans unique to each fund. Mr. Poyer and Mr. Lambatsos will work directly with clients in their regions, respectively.
