One research firm expects the assets in ETFs to skyrocket in the next few years -- and thinks mutual funds may not be far behind.
InvestmentNews took a look at research from
Cerulli Associates that suggests ETF assets could more than triple through 2016.
Cerulli expects the $1.05 trillion currently invested in ETFs to hit $3.45 trillion in 2016. The research firm also expects the amount in long-term mutual funds to nearly double, from the current $7.75 trillion to $13.1 trillion in 2016.
Pretty bullish numbers. So what the hell, why not buy that jetski.
