If President Obama wins reelection in November, he won't be bringing
Tim Geithner with him. As for who might replace the Treasury Secretary, there are three names circulating — and fundsters will be very familiar with one of them, according to a
Fox Business News report transcribed by
ValueWalk.
That's
Larry Fink, the
BlackRock CEO who has been connected to the job for quite some time now. (See
MFWire here,

The other two will be more familiar to political types: White House Chief of Staff
Jack Lew and former North Carolina Senator
Erskine Bowles.
Fox News correspondent Charlie Gasparino believes Lew is the one most likely to get the job, and had this to say about Fink:
I will say this, Larry Fink is a guy I know very well. I considered him a friend. The upside to Larry is clearly that there is no smarter guy on Wall Street that I know right now. He really understands the business. Hes been doing it since 1975 between trading and being an entrepreneur – starting his own firm. I think Larry wants the job. The negative is that he is really associated with the Wall Street crowd. That is something that I don’t think the Obama administration would go for.
Geithner has served since the beginning of the Obama administration.
