Jeffery Gundlach just lost $10 million… but it has nothing to do with bond funds.
No, the
DoubleLine founder was a burglary victim last week, when around $10 million worth of art and valuables were stolen from his Santa Monica home between Sept. 12 and 14, according to a
Bloomberg report.
Gundlach returned home to find "at least 10 paintings and five watches" were gone, according to Bloomberg reporter Alexis Leondis.
The
LA Times, which first reported the burglary Thursday afternoon, has details of exactly what art was stolen. The
Times also reports that Gundlach's Porsche Carrera 4S was stolen. The story also notes that among the art were pieces by Jasper Johns and Piet Mondrian.
The investigation is ongoing. The police report is available
