Stilwell Financial, the parent company to Janus, is reviewing whether employees will receive bonuses or future stock awards. The firm revealed its review in a filing with the SEC. The move is not unexpected as the firm has been struggling to cut costs in the face of dwindling assets.
The review also comes as the firm is facing pressure of a large shareholder (Highfields Capital Management) opposed to its reorganization plan.
