This may be why his fund only has $41 million in AUM.
InvestmentNews reports that last week Lipper failed to successfully get ahold of
Oceanstone Fund [
profile] PM
James Wang to let him know his fund had won a Lipper Fund Award. Not surprisingly, Wang was a no show in New York City.
The Oceanstone Fund launched in November 2006 and has a five year annualized return of 41 percent and a three-year annualized return of 39 percent. In 2009 the fund gained 264 percent.
Yet, the fund remains small and dare we say it, unknown.
Wang does not market the fund and was unreachable by the InvestmentNews reporter. Fund director Rajendra Prasad stated: "Mr. Wang does not want any interviews."
