When it comes to dedication to advisors, advisors say that
Franklin Templeton is the best asset manager in the business. That's one of the finding's of
Horsesmouth's and
kasina's
FA Vision fourth quarter 2011 survey.
Advisors who work with San Mateo, California-based Franklin gave the mutual fund firm an 8.11 out of 10 for dedication to advisors, up from 7.48 in the last survey six months earlier. This time New York City-based
BlackRock was the runner up with a 7.85. The lowest score for any of the 22 asset managers covered in the survey was 4.87, and the average score was 6.56.
"You really have to continue to work hard to really keep their interest in you and their feelings about you,"
Hari Krishnaswami, kasina's FA Vision chief, told
MFWire.com, noting Franklin's climb, "because they can change in a shorter period of time than you might think."
Horsesmouth and kasina released the tidbit today in their latest "Nugget of the Week" from the FA Vision data. The survey covered 2,545 advisor, surveyed from October 14-December 7, 2011.
