BlackRock [
profile] is planning to slim down its San Francisco jobs list come the end of January. The New York City-based asset manager has filed notice with the state of California that it plans to eliminate 59 jobs in San Francisco, so says a
terse report in
Bloomberg Businessweek.
The report did not provide any details on the nature of the jobs being eliminated.
The bulk of BlackRock's employees in San Francisco joined it through the acquisition of Barclays' asset management business.
