Fidelity scion Abigail Johnson, president of personal, workplace and institutional services, is the most powerful woman in finance, according to
American Banker Magazine, which released its
list of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance.
"Many expect Johnson will be the next CEO at Fidelity,
an industry powerhouse with $3.7 trillion of assets under
administration, $1.7 trillion of managed assets and $1.5 trillion in
mutual fund assets under management, as of May,"
according to the mag.
Johnson is not the only Fidelity executive on the list.
Coming in at No. 18 is Kathy Murphy, president of Fidelity's
personal investing business.
"The strategic force behind Fidelity’s dominance in individual retirement accounts
and mutual-fund managed account programs, Kathleen Murphy has helped to grow
Fidelity Personal Investing’s assets under administration from $730 billion when
she joined the firm in 2009 to over $1 trillion in 2010," writes American Banker.
