Who are the Visionaries of the Fund Industry?

Reported by Armie Margaret Lee

Strategic Insight on Monday unveiled its list of the 60 mutual fund industry visionaries that have shaped the course of the industry over the past 25 years. The New York City-based research firm will honor the visionaries at its 25th anniversary gala dinner on November 7 in Manhattan's Chelsea Piers. (see the complete list of visionaries below)

"When we thought about our 25th anniversary, it's not about us," said Avi Nachmany, director of research and co-founder of Strategic Insight, in an interview with The MFWire.com. "It's more about the industry, about the people who have been instrumental in establishing the industry's foundation."

Strategic Insight came up with the list with the help of an advisory board that included T. Rowe Price vice chairman Ed Bernard, former Vanguard CEO Jack Brennan, Prudential Investments president Judy Rice, NICSA president Theresa Hamacher and Roger Servison, president of strategic new business development at Fidelity.
