Natixis Global Asset Management [see profile] has signed on as the principal sponsor of the 2011 Newport Jazz Festival, which will take place August 5 to 7 in Rhode Island.

John Hailer, president and CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management, US and Asia, said in a press release that the sponsorship is "the initial step in a a broad NGAM global initiative to 'take and make music around the world.'"
