The Investment Company Institute (ICI) has elected Paul G. Haaga, Jr. to a one-year term as chairman. Haaga is executive vice president and director of Capital Research and Management Company.

Haaga will preside over the Board of Governors which is responsible for setting policy. He is also a member of the Institute's Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Capital in 1985, Haaga was a partner in the law firm of Dechert Price & Rhoads in Washington, DC.
