Schroders plans to add staff in the field, key
accounts and marketing areas.
Recently, Schroders hired four people in its sales team. It brought on board Janus alum
Benjamin Stevens as sales director for the West territory, Van Kampen alum
Christopher Ander as sales director for the Central territory, FBR Asset Management alum
Kelly Klobucar in a dual role as team leader
managing the internal wholesalers and supporting Western-based wholesalers
Stevens and John Maguire, and Bank of America - Merrill Lynch Wealth Management alum
Marc DeCuffa as internal sales director for the Northeast.
Schroders also hired
Greg Bradley, most recently with Hewlett Packard
Company, as key accounts manager, reporting to
Erin Brenner, head of
intermediary key accounts.
Schroders now has a total of seven external wholesalers and four internals. There are four people on the key accounts team, including Brenner.
The five new hires joined in the last six weeks, said
Carter Sims, head of US
intermediary distribution, in an interview with
The MFWire.com.
All five take on newly created positions, raising the number of people
on the U.S. intermediary distribution team to 23.
Schroders might make one or two hires on the external sales side this year,
and one on the internal side, Sims said.
Also, a search is underway for a mid-level key account post under Brenner
and a mid-to-senior level person on the marketing team led by
Jennifer Manser.
