Victory Capital Management [see profile]just switched from active to passive core and intermediate fixed-income strategies inside its funds. Courtney Goethals Dobrow reported on the change in Morningstar's "Fund Times" column, revealing that fixed income chief Craig Ruch is leaving the KeyCorp mutual fund firm.

Ruch's departure means Victory Core Bond will switch to a passive strategy, MStar reports, and the fixed-income sleeve of Victory Balanced will make the same switch. (Ruch PM Core Bond and Balanced, as well as Victory Fund for Income.)
