An Ex-Rydex Exec Lands a New Gig

Former Rydex Investments executive Ed Egilinsky, who played a key role in the buildout of the firm's alternative investment platform, has joined Chicago-headquartered Price Asset Management as managing director. Egilinsky is based out of the New York office and will "assist in product distribution as well as sales and new product initiatives for PAM," according to a press release on Tuesday.

Previously, Egilisnksy was head of alternative investment strategies at Rydex, where oversaw, among others, the launch of the first mutual fund that provided retail investors access to managed futures. Earlier, Egilinsky led U.S. sales and marketing for multi-boutique alternative investment firm Kenmar Advisory Group.

Edward Egilinsky, Former Head of Alternative Investments at Rydex Joins Price Asset Management as a Managing Director

CHICAGO, Sept. 28 -- Price Asset Management, Inc. ("PAM") and its affiliate Uhlmann Price Securities, LLC. have opened a new office in New York City. Tom Price, Chairman of Price Holdings, Inc. is pleased to announce that Edward Egilinsky has joined our organization as a managing director of Price Asset Management, an investment manager specializing in alternative investment products with a primary focus on the commodity asset class and managed futures. Based out of the New York office, Ed will assist in product distribution as well as sales and new product initiatives for PAM.

Ed has over 18 years experience in the alternative investment industry and is recognized as an accomplished industry expert. During his career, he has held senior sales management positions and has been responsible for raising multiple billions of dollars in assets for various alternative investment products and strategies. Prior to joining PAM, Ed was head of alternative investment strategies at Rydex Investments, where he was responsible for the build out and growth of their alternative investment platform. This included the launch of the first open-end mutual fund that offered retail investors access to managed futures. Prior to his tenure at Rydex, Ed was in charge of U.S. sales and marketing for Kenmar Advisory Corp (a multi-boutique alternative investment firm). Ed is a recognized authority in the alternative investment field. He has been a frequent speaker at financial conferences, a guest on financial news programs and cited in financial publications.
