Prudential Investments has swapped subadvisors for its AST Value Trust Portfolio. The win goes to BlackRock Investment Management, which is replacing Deutsche Investment Management Americas as subadvisor to the portfolio that is part of the Advanced Series Trust.
BlackRock will take over the portfolio after the market close on Friday (July 16). The move was revealed in an
SEC filing this week. There was no reason provided for the switch.
BlackRock will be paid 35 basis points on the first $100 million of fund assets, with the fee dropping to 30 bps for the next $100 million and 27 bps for the remainder up to $1 billion. Prudential will earn 25 bps for all assets in excess of $1 billion.
