Charles Schwab veteran
Jeffrey M. Lyons is now heading the broker's $325 billion Asset Management Products and Services Enterprise. He replaces Jerry Chafkin who moved to the retail side of the broker.
In the role he will have responsibility for Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc., Schwab's money management division; the Mutual Fund OneSource and Mutual Fund MarketPlace programs; the Managed Accounts division; Insurance and Annuity Services; and Mutual Fund Clearing Services.
Lyons reports to John Philip Coghlan, vice chairman.
The move is a step up for Lyons, who had been executive vice president of Mutual Funds, where he was responsible for Schwab's third party fund business, including Mutual Fund Marketing, Mutual Fund Operations, Fund Relations, and Mutual Fund Clearing Services, as well as Insurance and Annuity Services.
No replacement has been named to take over Lyon's former duties, said a Schwab spokesperson. Lyons joined Schwab in 1984.
