Labor Secretary Chao is heading to Capital Hill today to testify as the opening witness at the Education & the Workforce Committee'a Enron Retirement Plan Hearings. She is set to speak at 10 AM. Witnesses for Friday include: Cindy K. Olson and Mikie Rath of Enron, Scott Peterson of Hewitt Associates, Thomas O. Padgett, a former Enron employee Baytown and Teresa Ghilarducci a professor at Notre Dame.



K.M Schappert, formerly president of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, has left that firm to become president and ceo of Federated' investment advisory companies. He will provide overall leadership of Federated's investment management operations.



The Allied Irish Bank of the Republic of Ireland stated that there may have been a $750 milllion fraud attempted in the foreign exchange trading operations of its US subsidiary, according to The New York Times. The bank has contacted the FBI after the US management discovered the alleged fraudulent acts by one of their traders.
