In an attention-grabbing move, Instinet has appointed John C. Bogle, John Kasich, and Kay Koplovitz to its Board of Directors. The high profile executives are expected to bring a host of connections and publicity to the Reuters-subsidiary.

AmSouth Funds has outsourced to Bisys its fund administration, accounting, distribution, transfer duties, and securities lending services. Its fund family manages approximately $7 billion in assets.

Franklin Templeton Investments managed $269.0 billion in assets in the month of May. This number jumped up from the $222.8 billion in assets in the same period last year, reflecting assets acquired from Fiduciary Trust.
