Nuveen is launching a web site designed to corner the information supply on ETFs is expected to launch by the end of the month, revealed an executive with the firm at the ICICM Conference in New York City.

"We'll launch the site without advertising to add to our credibility," said Kenneth Fincher, assistant vice president, "and we'll get more play in the market."

The ETF and closed-end fund specialist is partnering with ETF sponsors and an unspecified data provider to power the site's number-crunching needs.

"We're going to provide as much information as the fund firms can supply," said Fincher, declining to specify the name of the data provider.
